Study: Those who recover from Corona are more likely to have some complications from the Pfizer vaccine

Some people may develop various health complications after receiving Corona vaccines, but according to a new study, the emergence of certain complications after receiving the Pfizer vaccine, in particular, may mean that the vaccine recipient was infected with the Coronavirus beforehand even if he was not aware of it.

Those who have recovered from Corona are more likely to have some complications from the Pfizer vaccine

A new scientific study published its results on the (MedRxiv) portal and has not been scientifically reviewed after the appearance of certain symptoms on a person after receiving the Pfizer vaccine may be an indication that the person may have previously been infected with the Coronavirus.

According to the study, those who had previously had a corona and received the Pfizer vaccine after recovering, may be more likely than others to develop swelling in the lymph nodes in particular, and it was noted that they may also be more likely than others to have these symptoms as well:
  • fever.
  • Exhaustion.
  • Muscle pain.
  • Arthritis.

Study details

To come up with the results of this study, a group of researchers in the United Kingdom investigated the data of 974 health sector workers who had received a first dose of the Pfizer vaccine, knowing that 265 of them were infected with the Coronavirus or their tests showed a percentage of Antibodies to the virus in their bodies before receiving the vaccine.

The researchers found that the following complications appeared in varying degrees on some of the study participants:

  • Inflammation in the lymph nodes: it appeared on 4% of those who had previously been infected and recovered from the Coronavirus, compared to less than 1% of those who had not previously been infected with the virus.
  • Fever: It appeared on 8% of those who had previously been infected with the Coronavirus, compared to 2% of those who had not previously been infected with the virus.
  • Muscle pain: It appeared on 30% of those who had previously been infected with the virus, compared to 15% of those who had not previously been infected with the virus.
  • Fatigue: it appeared on 29% of those who had previously contracted the virus, compared to 20% of those who had not previously been infected with the virus.
The researchers also noted that women and young people were more likely to have a greater number of side complications after receiving the Pfizer vaccine and that complications in these specific groups were more severe and took longer to resolve.

This study comes in an attempt by researchers to understand the factors that may make some people more susceptible than others to the emergence of certain complications after receiving vaccines, and this understanding may help us to spread awareness more about the importance of vaccines in defeating the Coronavirus and how these vaccines work to achieve this purpose.
