The results of a new scientific study reveal that eating a heavy breakfast can double the amount of calories your body burns later in the day.

In this study, published in the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism, researchers explained that eating breakfast would increase metabolism and burn body fats, as well as help regulate blood sugar levels.

Where the researchers in charge of the study noted that eating a heavy breakfast in the early morning increases the process of metabolism and calories burned by the body during the day.

The results showed that eating a heavy breakfast helps burn more calories, compared to those who eat a heavy dinner.

On the other hand, the researchers explained that eating a low-calorie breakfast would open the appetite later, especially for eating sweets, hence the importance of eating a heavy meal for breakfast.

In order to verify the results, 16 men were targeted in the study, and they were divided into two groups, one ate a heavy breakfast and the other a heavy dinner.

By tracking the participants and monitoring their checks, the researchers found that eating a hearty breakfast burns a double number of calories in the body, which helps in the process of burning fat and losing weight for those who wish to do so.
